The National Weather Service has issued a frost warning for parts of mid-Michigan north and east of Grand Rapids.
Clear skies and light winds, plus a cold air mass moving over the state, could allow temperatures to drop rapidly late Sunday and early Monday, weather experts advised.
Temperatures could plummet to between 30 and 35 degrees.
The Weather Service issues frost advisories when weather experts expect frost to develop during the growing season.
Residents with agricultural interests within the target area should harvest or protect tender vegetation.
Potted plants should be covered or taken indoors.
Areas most likely to be impacted include Oscoda, Clare, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Montmorency, Crawford, Cheboygan, Otsego, Kalkaska, Wexford, Missaukee, Lake, Osceola, Newaygo and Mecosta counties.
The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday.
